After ending 2008 with a total hard drive meltdown, I'm back up and running for the new year. I didn't lose everything, but I did lose quite a bit of non-critical data that I was lazy about properly backing up. Lesson learned (the hard way). Anyway, here's a Boba Fett painting I did about a month ago to kick off 2009. Happy New Year everybody!

That's a fantastic Boba Fett, Steve! :D Really digging the wore-out texture on the helmet too :)
Sorry to hear about the hard drive: it seems not backing up is more common than you think ;) When my HD died, I had to spend 700 bucks to recover all the data, since it was all critical and valuable data and there was no backup whatsoever :P
Wish you all the best and continuing success in 2009, Steve!
Cheers,
Francesco
Absolutely love it man. One time I lost an entire portfolio I was working on from not backing things up. That was years ago and I just kind of learned my lesson as time went by. At the very least, when I can't burn to disc, I back up on an ftp. Just so there's SOMETHING even if it's not the latest edition.
Live and learn. Could have been worse. It's a new year.
Suh-weet Boba Fett painting!
My favorite part, actually, is the inspired red dusk sky. It adds a sense of danger.
Sorry to hear about the computer crash. I had one about two years ago and you feel helpless being detached from the blogosphere! Agh!
Happy New Year Steve - Hope 2009 is a good one for you and yours!
Ouch, shame about the hard-drive.
Great image - lovely textures
Happy New Year Steve!
Great painting!
Sorry to hear about the computer crash...
Hey Steve - Congratulations on the nomination for Wizards Penciller of the Year for Captain America too!
Great works!
Thanks everybody. Every day I keep finding things here and there that I didn't back up, but for the most part I survived okay.
Dan - thanks for pointing me to the Wizard awards. I wasn't even aware of it!
