I am a proud owner of the Captain America Omnibus. You have really been doing outstanding work. I am very impressed with how you pace and frame your action scenes and use lighting to convey mood. This is incredible stuff.
i remember reading that you inked most of your pages yourself. With Butch Guice on board now, is he going to be inking everything, or are you still going to be inking your work with Guice will ink as well? Or is Guice just on colors?
Steve, on the subject of inkers, (and without meaning any disrespect to Butch Guice) are there any inkers in particular that you'd like to work with in the future?
Personally I rate Tom Palmer as the best inker ever to wield a brush, with Giordano and Janson also up there, I also think that Stefano Gaudiano is producing some stunning stuff at the moment.
Raphael - Butch will be doing all of the inking. The coloring is done by Frank D'Armata.
Johnny Kwango - When we first discussed bringing in an inker, there were only three names I suggested - Butch Guice, Stefano Gaudiano, and Tom Palmer. I was lucky that Butch's schedule allowed him to help us out. You and I think a lot alike when it comes to inkers.
I loved your work with Tom Palmer, Steve. He's my all time favorite inker, and I wish he was doing a monthly book. I love Guice, too, and his inks look incredible over your pencils.
He's inking the series permanently? I loveyour inks, Steve, but I'm fine with the Epting/Guice art, especially if it helps deadlines.
I honestly don't know how long Butch will be working on Cap. I have my doubts that it will be permanent though, so I'm just going to enjoy it while I can!

Wow! The Red Skull looks brilliant Steve.
Gorgeous stuff Steve. I haven't seen a great deal of Butch's inking before, but that is fantastic - you make a terrific team!

Great stuff...I'd like to see these get an Essentials treatment one day, the b/w is so well done!
